140116 NEW MANAGER WANTS TO CHANGE BUKA TOWN

The new Manager for the Buka Urban Council, EDDIE KENAI has vowed to move Buka Town to the next level.

Speaking at the Swearing in ceremony, MR. KENAI said that he was happy to head the Buka Urban Council team to deliver services to the residents of Buka town, Sohano, Kokopau, Kubu and Hutjena which come under his jurisdiction.

MR. KENAI said that he applied for the job of the Town Manager, not because of the package but because he wanted to contribute to the development of the town.

He said that his new task will be very challenging but with the support of professionals within the Council, he believes he will make some changes within his five year term of office.

The Secretary for Technical Services, BENARD TZILU says that Water and Sanitation for Buka town will be the first job that will come online under the new Manager, EDDIE KENAI.

Speaking at the Swearing in ceremony, MR. TZILU said that NINE POINT SEVEN MILLION KINA for the Water and Sanitation for Buka town is available for the work to begin soon.

He said that he will be working closely with the new Town Manager to make sure the face of Buka town is changed for the better.

New Dawn FM understands, MR. TZILU is also a member for the Physical Planning Board which the town authority will use to enforce strict guidance to the type of Building that must be built in Buka town.
