South Bougainville Police are appealing to parents of children and their adult boys to stop drinking in Buin town and breaking Beer Bottles on the streets of Buin town.
Buin Police Station Commander, INSPECTOR JOHN POPUI told New Dawn FM that Police have been carrying out awareness in Buin town and some people continue to do the same things all over again. He said that last Saturday they carried out awareness in town until seven pm and later he got reports of drunkards disturbing residents near the Buin Member’s office.
MR. POPUI said Police will continue to carry awareness and needed village chiefs to recall their youths back home.
As the Christmas and New Year festive season approaches, INSPECTOR POPUI also called on Car drivers to think safety and make sure they don’t drink and drive and that their cars are roadworthy and registered.
