221122 NORTH WOMAN ANNOUNCES TO STAND FOR BYELECTION.
New Dawn FM News
A young woman leader molded and groomed by her late father, who is passionate about helping her people has put up her hands to contest her late father and National Member Parliament for North Bougainville Open Seat.
Jocelyn Nakin has expressed that she will contest the North Bougainville By-election seat left by her late father Hon William Nakin.
She said her father had future plans for the electorate but unfortunately did not live to see that dream. She has now out up her hands to live and carryon the legacy of her father and build the dream he had for his people.
‘Chosen leaders are anointed by God. Leaders with a vision to look into the future and plan ahead. We want a leader who can make good decisions, transparent, good governance and accountability,’ she said.
Nakin appealed to the women in the community to make good decisions and vote to make the right decision.
TWO other female candidates to contest the North By-election are Roselyn Kenneth and Beverly Tsibos.
Beverly Tsibos had also contested the North Bougainville Open Seat and lost to her male counterparts.
Roselyn Kenneth, however, has wealth of years of experience in the private partnership programs through peacebuilding and weapons disposal working alongside donor agencies such as the United Nations and Australian High Commission. ENDS///AK
