211122 PIKININI GAMES TO COMMENCE IN SELAU NEXTWEEK

The Selau Sporting Committee will begin to run clinics for young Children’s Pikinini Games starting next week.
Member for Selau Constituency Hon Paul Cheung said this during the grand final Christ the King Tournament yesterday at Hantoa Parish.
Hon Cheung said the three trial games will be organized to include wards from Selau to Siarra.
He added that sports will now become an entity of its own to revive the Sportsmanship of the people of Selau.
‘Sports in Selau has lost its glory for the last ten to fifteen years’ he said.
He also made mention of the Season proper for the “Christ the King late Nakin Memorial Cup” will also begin in February through to December 2023.
Hon Cheung reminded teams who took part in the tournament to ensure the teams like any other organization is run with a committee of its own, trainers, managers and sponsors to fully maintain the teams to qualify and register for the season early next year.
‘I have spoken to the President Hon Ishmael Toroama to start a Sports Academy in Bougainville and he has agreed,’ he added. ENDS//AK
