CLASSROOMS and dormitory facilities at one of the oldest high schools in the North region of Bougainville, along the West coast are run down.
School Principal of Bishop Wade Technical Secondary School, Andrew Lasua said the facilities were run down and evident that the school needs funding to assist in renovation of the buildings.
‘We are trying our best to maintain these infrastructures but it will cost millions,’ he said.
Mr Lasua appealed to the parents to be responsible to pay their children’s school fees to assist in maintaining these facilities.
Meanwhile, Member for Selau Constituency Hon Paul Cheung has made a commitment to assist in counter funding the renovations for the school infrastructures.
Hon Cheung has also completed three school libraries while the other four are still under construction.
He said soon the book shelves will be stacked ready for academic year 2023.ENDS///AK
