The ABG President, HON ISHMAEL TOROAMA has called on the people of Bougainville especially eligible voters in the 2022 PNG General Elections to vote for candidates who will work with the Bougainville Government.
Speaking in Arawa today to mark the 17th anniversary of the Autonomous Bougainville Government day, President TOROAMA called on the people to see the changes taking place and support the changes.
He said that this election, people must listen to all candidates and vote for people who will support the ABG to achieve its Independence agenda during ratification.
PRESIDENT TOROAMA also commended the leaders who were involved in making the constitutional changes to part 14 of the PNG Constitution to allow Referendum and Autonomy for Bougainville.
He said he does not want people to be voted in to only beautify parliament but some who must discuss Bougainville issues head-on.
The ABG President said that the new Bougainville members must work in unity with the ABG on behalf of the people of Bougainville.
