200821 POLICE CALL ON LIQUOR COMMISSION TO BE STRICT ON LICENCEES

The Liquor Licensing Commissioner and his team of inspectors must not allow bottleshops to be operate in one room with other softdrinks and food because this is why liquor is sold on a 24 hours basis throughout Bougainville.
Senior Police Officer, CHIEF SERGEANT EMMART TSIMES made this call at the KOKOPAU meeting yesterday.
He said he was disappointed, that the Liquor Licensing Commission was approving Licensing without physically checking the buildings that liquor will be sold.
SENIOR SERGEANT TSIMES said that the Liquor Commission must be strict with License holders and cancel premises that operate outside of their licensed trading hours.
