271120 JTT CONCLUDES ON THE AGENDAS FOR THE JSB

The Joint Technical teams between the Bougainville Administration and the National Government team yesterday concluded many outstanding issues with the ratification process first on the list on the Agendas agreed upon for the leaders to approve in the coming JSB.
This meeting was co-chaired ISAAC LUPARI Acting Chief Secretary for the PNG Government and SHADRACH HIMATA the Acting Chief Secretary for ABG.
In Their Opening remarks, the two co-chairs acknowledged and welcomed delegation from both sides of the Government.
The co-chair for GO PNG, conveyed the Prime Minister’s deferment of the JSB due to the current political situation.

The Bougainville consultation team also at this JTT to make sure the agenda of consultations are included for the JSB to deliberate on when it meets in two week’s time.
The team comprised had former Ex-combatants and leaders who were part of the Bougainville leaders that negotiated the Bougainville Peace Agreement that was signed in 2001.
The leaders like the former President, JAMES TANIS, JOSEPH WATAWI, JOE PAIS and fighters like DONALD HAMAU the Police Minister THOMAS TARI, and including Women’s and Church representatives just to name a few.
The Important things was to prepare the Post referendum- Inter Government consultation process framework based on the Referendum result.
Other important area was the Bougainville Economic Investment summit that will roll the economic activities on Bougainville.
This JTT has finalized the seven agendas that will be approved when the JSB meet in two week’s time at a venue that will be announced.
