140720 NANEI ACKNOWLEDGES AUSTRALIAS CONTINUED SUPPORT

The Secretary for the Bougainville Law and Justice Department and Chief Legal Advisor to the Autonomous Bougainville Government, KEARNETH NANEI today acknowledged Australia’s continued support to build infrastructures for the law and justice sector throughout the region over the years.
Speaking at the handover ceremony for the newly built SAFE HOUSE at Hahela today, MR.NANEI said that law and order should be given priority by the Government as all developments hinges on law and order.
He mentioned Police stations, Police accommodations, CS facility and staff housing and now the safe houses first at Chabai, Buin and now Buka as funded by the government of Australia.
MR.NANEI said that Australia continues to support Bougainville with capacity building of Bougainville in all areas of training, infrastructure, education, health and supporting the agriculture sector.
Australian High Commission’s Counsellor, GINA WILSON presented the keys of two cars also donated by DFAT to the Law and Justice Sector to help with the transportation of their officers.
