Chiefs in Central Bougainville today said that Bougainville still needs MOMIS in this last important issues of consultations between the two governments.
The former Chairman of the Central Bougainville Council of Elders combined Council, JOHN DONA called from Arawa and wanted MOMIS to complete his final duty in involving with the consultation as a mandated member of Parliament.
He said President MOMIS can still stand as the Regional member for Bougainville the seat left vacant by the former member JOE LERA who resigned to contest the Presidential seat.
MR DONA said that many young people are looking at these positions of power however the chief must be allowed to complete his task once and for all.
He said that rejection of President Momis was by the courts and not the people of Bougainville who were waiting to mandate him again for his final task.
President MOMIS told New Dawn FM last Friday that he will give his statement on this issue later.
