010219DOCTOR VILOSI WANTS NURSES TO BE PAID
New Dawn FM News
The Medical Officer for the Arawa District Hospital, DR. JOE VILOSI today called on the Health Department to pay Nurses working in the Arawa District Hospital that have not been paid for many months now.
Speaking on New Dawn FM in Buka this afternoon, DR.VILOSI questioned why it took so long for the Health Department to put these officers on the payroll.
He said that these officers need money to pay for their children’s school fees and also food and clothing for themselves.
On the current issue concerning mining on Bougainville, DR. VILOSI said the Government must shelf any discussions on Mining and organize its people to contribute financially to support the Referendum preparations.
He said the time is too short for people to divert their attention to something else.
DR. VILOSI supported earlier calls made by the member for Selau and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Referendum, JOSEPH WATAWI for Bougainvilleans to raise funds and support the process.
