By Aloysius Laukai
The Memorandum of Agreement Signing between the ABG, Investors, the office of the South Bougainville National member and the TONOLEI land owners was deferred to a later date by the Papua New Guinea Forest Authority on the day of signing yesterday.
The MOA signing was to have been done at the LALUAI former TONOLEI DEVELOPMENT HEADQUATER where the LALUAI market was built by the member for South Bougainville last year.
Managing Director for the National Forest Authority, TUNOU SABUIN said that many issues between landowners and the investor must be addressed before a developer can be invited to the project site.
The Managing Director told the gathering that the National Forest Authority is the authority that must work with the ABG to carry out awareness and not the investor whom they have been talking to for funding of the awareness.
The meeting was told that the investor, KK Connections based in Rabaul, East New Britain Province had already spent some money on consultations and awareness with the landowners.
