070218STONES WILL REMAIN STONES SAYS MINING MINISTER
By Aloysius Laukai
The ABG Vice President and Minister for Mining, RAYMOND MASONO has praised the people of ISINA and KOKODA for putting up their hands to do mining exploration in their areas.
Speaking at the Launch of the KOKODA mining Exploration on Monday, Minister MASONO said that Bougainville will remain poor so long as the landowners forbid their land from any development.
He said that the people must understand that trees will remain trees and stones will remain stones and fish will remain fish unless we change them into valuable commodities that we all can benefit from.
MR. MASONO said that he has been talking about mining in Bougainville for many years as he knows that Bougainville can be a better place to live in if we could develop them in a sustainable way.
