010218BSP BANK BUILDS IN BUIN

The Bank of South Pacific is building its building to open up its Sub branch that can later be made a branch of its own.
This is good news for the Business Community of South Bougainville who have to travel to Arawa and Buka to do their banking.
Buin which has a huge potential in Toursim and Business activities will move to another level once this bank is opened later this year.
Currently Buin the biggest district in Bougainville is served by a small rural bank similar to Wakunai and other districts of Bougainville.
The rural bank has been operating with cash only and bank transfers and with the new building the bank will be able to open other services to its customers.
Currently Buin town has no ATM machine and makes it hard for teachers to cash their pays on paydays as most stores do not allow for cash to be included in the purchase of Goods.

This Bank will have to be upgraded to include ATM machines..currently they are under Arawa Branch

when will ATM machine be installed in Buin? Or will there be a new banking facility built to accommodate the high volume of services to the people in South Bougainville
