The people of Novah in the Tonsu Constituency on Buka island and the people of Kugumaru in the LULE constituency in Buin South Bougainville created history by recovering a fallen former BRA soldier who was killed by soldiers and later buried at NOVAH No.2.
The gathering was held today in which his relatives from KUGUMARU village came to Buka to recover the remains of the former fighter and return his so that he can be buried in his home.
The incident was made possible by their two leaders, IZEKIEL MASAT the member for TONSU and JOSEPH NABUAI the member for LULE who set this date and invited other ABG members and including the Speaker SIMON PENTANU who gathered at NOVAH No.2 today to witness the ceremony.
This was a moving ceremony in which other ABG members spoke highly of the two leaders for making this ceremony possible and for fulfilling the task of each constituency member to declare their Constituencies referendum ready by December 31st, 2018.
The people from the two areas will complete customary rituals by tonight before they can take the remains home tomorrow.
