The member for South Bougainville in the National Parliament, TIMOTHY MASIU today called on the people of Buin and South Bougainville to protect assets that are been invested into the Southern region.
Speaking at the Ground Breaking ceremony for the Buin town Streets sealing in Buin today MR MASIU whilst thanking the Government of Australia also called on his people to take ownership of their town and make sure they look after assets that are been invested into South Bougainville.
MR. MASIU said that the people of Australia are kind enough to support us and in return we must make sure they are looked after.
He said that Buin twon will become a city one day soon and he wants his people to be proactive and contribute towards the development of Buin which is the Capital of South Bougainville.
MR. MASIU also called on the Police to make sure road users abide by the traffic rules to maintain standard and safety in all South Bougainville roads.
He said once the roads are sealed from Kangu to Toimanapu safety of the traveling public including pedestrians must be a number one priority.
