060916SOUTH MEMBER MOVES WITH COMMUNICATION

The new member for South Bougainville, Timothy Masiu MP yesterday united the people of South Bougainville by investing in the establishment of a Radio network for South Bougainville making the first member to improve communication in the Southern and the most populous of the region.
The member presented a cheque worth THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND KINA for the establishment of the Bougainville's Independent Media NEW DAWN FM in Buin South Bougainville.
The presentation was done witnessed by the ABG members of South Bougainville including the Minister for Finance, Planning and Treasury, ALBERT PUNGHAU, Minister for Police and Correction services, WILLIE MASIU the elder brother of the member, Minister for LLG and Community Affairs, JACOB TOKE, Minister for Education THOMAS PATAAKU and the regional member for South Bougainville women, ISABEL PETA and including supporters and staff of New Dawn FM.
Member MASIU said that he was just trying to help the ABG by connecting the disconnected for so long.
As a Communication man himself, MR MASIU said that Communication was vital in disseminating government information as the region moves into the referendum that is set for June 15th 2019.
He said a well informed population can make a good choice when the time voting finally arrives.
Member Masiu said he was sorry that his people have been neglected by past leadership.
This was the first time all South Bougainville members were united for one cause and that is to move South Bougainville forward.
The equipment will be launched and officially switched on in October by the member for South Bougainville, TIMOTHY MASIU.
