Regional Member for Bougainville, Joe Lera says all efforts must be made by all concerned citizens for a proper burial of those lost or murdered during the Bougainville crisis.
Member Lera said the spirits of those not given proper burials are still crying and can have an adverse effect on the performance of leaders and the government.
Because of this, the government and relatives and friends of the missing are working hard to find where they are and to retrieve their bones for proper burials.
He said the relatives of the missing or disappeared persons are also not at rest adding that they are being haunted by the spirits of their loved ones.
The Member was speaking at a gathering last night to remember those people and to increase the awareness to locate them for burial.
