170712 PIRIKA DECLARED

The member for South Bougainville, STEVEN KAMMA PIRIKA has retained his South Bougainville seat.
After the tenth exlusion, STEVEN PIRIKA polled 10262 votes to reach the absolute majority required for wining the seat.
Timothy Masiu came second wit 5087 votes.
Mr Pirika was declared just after eleven this morning by the Returning Officer, JOHN MONEI
Peter Manuka came 3rd with 4042 votes.
Steven Pirika Kamma took on the lead as soon as counting in the Torokina area and never looked back until he was declared this morning.

Congratulations to Mr Kamma Perika of retaining the South Bougaiville seat.Leadership is an opportunity to serve, it is not a trumphet call to self importance. So it is now time again to do something good for South Bougainville.

Well, we have the winner for South Open seat declared. I bet everyone are happy and celebrating for successfully winning the election. However, this is not a time for celebrations and feasting. This is the time for proactive planning. This is the time of taking up responsibilities and challenges in preparation for the actual purpose of winning this election. The only time I think we will all celebrate with satisfaction and joy, is at the end of the five year term when the winning member and the people of South Bougainville have accomplished and seen a success.

Congratulations to Mr Kamma Pirika of retaining the South Bougainville Open Seat again. The people of South Bougainville have spoken very clearly through the votes. It is now time again to work together to continue to do something for South Bougainville.
