First, many thanks to Cairns-based wantok, Alex Dawia, for putting back the communication life-blood for New Dawn in the form of financial assistance. It is hoped a more long-term and sustainable assistance strategy is put in place to get New Dawn operating and functioning as It serves a very worthy cause and a valuable community service.
Second, 2 significant events this week moved me deeply - the First War Monument Inauguration at Polamato Village and the Konnou Ceasefire Ceremony at Mogoroi Village - both attended and officiated by the ABG, community and village Leadership and population. High commendations to various leaders and managers at all levels for facilitating and laying the ground work for these historic events to take place. For AROB, PNG and international community, these 2 Peace-Building and Community Security events herald and give proactive meanings to the spirit and content of the Bougainville Peace Agreement. Well done and God Bless.

Thank you Alex for assisting New Dawn in coming back online. AL I myself and I am sure many others would also be happy to assist in any way we can.

This website is a vital window for those of us living overseas to keep up to date on news from Bougainville.
