ABG, stop all the sub standard road works & please follow engineering standards to fix our roads.Other wise, if the current engineers are not performing, kick them out, Mr President and get qualified professionals who will get the roads done to a reasonable level.

Just returned from Buka, just too much destitution in town, and government neglect is evident in all corners of the town. market facilities incomplete, there is a big drain (looks like incomplete roadworks) just next to the MONA festival show ground, it was there when I last visited during christmas and good heavens, it is still there, ol lain i putim money we?

@Kopana
Barata, good you noticed. Unfortunately that's what been happening back home. Almost all of the contractors on the ground have been fooling Bougainvilleans for years.

The worst culprit the contracting company owned by the Minister for Bougainville Affairs himself.Even heavy equipment bought with Bougainville peoples money is parked at his place..

@ Kopana, I agree with you, looks to be a governance issue again. Where are the civil enginneers? This is waste of money.

Hey Karanas blong Buka i sot na oli putin giraun nating antap long road? Sand & soil will not mixed, let alone be a decent road base.

If such is the case, then it is definitely a dodgy! Need a good civil/geotech/soil engineer to manage the contractor.

Yes - that looks not good.
And again I say :
Let us use what the Lord gave to us.
Let's sell our copper to fix all necessary things.
