Colourful celebration to mark children’s day

Children from Hutjena Elementary, Hahela Elementary and Hangan Elementary schools celebrated children’s day in style recently.

Event coordinator, headmistress Wendi Rimani of Hutjena Elementary, said the gathering celebrated both children’s day and also promoted the rights of children.

“We had this gathering to unite the children we wanted to show them that they were very important to us parents and teachers”, Ms Rimani said.

The day started with ball games and ended with the sharing of gifts between students to mark the occasion.
