Bougainville Regional MP Fidelis Semoso has said the Autonomous Region of Bougainville must give priority to education and information as the catalysts for development.
He said the Autonomous Bougainville Government should make it its priority to educate every Bougainvillean.
“If you have a well-educated society, you can expect a good society,” Mr Semoso said. “ Bougainville’s future aspirations will only be realised through the provision of good quality education.”
He said he would continue to support the education sector on Bougainville
as the students would become leaders one day and make informed decisions for the autonomous region.
I couldn't agree more Mr Semoso. Including Health, Education must be right up there to form the basis of a society able to sustain itself in all facets of development.
My only point is time for words are long long gone.
Many more will repeat these exact words whilst campaigning. Please spare us the agony and just get on with it. Already there is overcrowding in all our schools and the seemingly lack of action to address do not demonstrate the urgency expressed.

I would like to support and thank the Regional MP,Mr.Semoso in his aspirations in giving top priority to education. He is right by saying a well educated society can bring about a good society. The result of no education has brought about many bad memories on the island during the conflict,we've lost hospitals, lives, and other most needed infrastructure were destroyed by people who lacked respect to society due to no education.
I also like the MP to encourage Technical Education,as a priority in his priority list,we need more hands on people, such as carpenters, mechanics, electricians, secretaries, etcfor building Bougainville as nation.
